I will be featuring designers who have done amazing work in SaiDesignJobs.com from today. As a part of this new section, I am happy to feature a short interview of a designer based in London, U.K.
Justin Poulter – Illustrator and graphic designer based in London, UK.
Tell us about yourself and how you began your career in design?
I began my career freelancing in a partnership with someone I studied graphic design with in Cape Town in 2008. A year later, I joined an illustration studio as a junior designer/ illustrator and spent the next five years working there and at two other studios.
In 2014, I left my full-time job and began freelancing on my own. In 2015, I moved to London and signed with my first agent.

Share your experience working for any projects you loved doing in the recent past.
I loved working on a job for Costa Coffee last year. The art directors at Lida (M&C Saatchi) were great to collaborate with.
I also really enjoyed working on a job for Naked Noodles with the creatives from Creature London, an awesome agency based here. Another project which came out last year was the cover I illustrated for the Kid’s Encyclopaedia of Britannica.
In terms of side projects, I got to make an illustration recently for Peligro Press’ new book Megarides which I’m very proud of. You can order it on their online store.
